Xin Liu is a Research Scientist at Google Consumer Health Research. He received his PhD in Computer Science from the Paul G. Allen School of Computer Science & Engineering at the University of Washington, Seattle and was supported by Google PhD Fellowship. His research interests lie in the intersection of machine learning, ubiqutous computing, and health. He received a bachelor’s degree in computer science with honors and Outstanding Undergraduate Achievement Award from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2018. He has published more than 20 peer-reviewed papers on top venues in machine learning (NeurIPS, ICLR, WACV, CHIL), mobile and ubiquitous computing (CHI, Ubicomp), and biomedical engineering (TBME, JBHI, EMBC, PLOS). His research have been featured as an oral presentation at NeurIPS and ICLR and on various public media including IEEE Spectrum, ACM TechNews, GeekWire, ZDNet, UW news.
